will come from the following:
Daily Assignments (class work and homework)
Daily Starter Questions
Notebook Grades and Tests
Work should be neat, thorough, have correct headings (name, date, period, and assignment), and should be turned into the box when they are due. Late work will not be accepted without an excused absence. All make-up work must be turned in within 3 days after the student returns to school. Students needing to make up tests or quizzes should expect to stay after school or during planning time if time is available. It is the
to ask for his/her make-up assignments when he/she returns to school.
Late Work/Incomplete Work:
If a student does not turn in an assignment on the due date their missed assignment(s) will be posted on my door on Tuesdays and they will have only 3 days (Friday)to turn it in for a late grade(one letter grade off), after that the assignment will not be accepted and the assignment will be counted as a zero.
Students in 7th grade should be
. They should come to class prepared with all materials needed for class and their class work and homework done. They should remain quiet and give 100% attention in class and on their work as well. I do not accept excuses such as: I left it at home, I forgot to do it, or I left it somewhere (locker, car, friend has it). You are expected to write down all of your assignments in your planner and have your parents check and sign your planner on a daily basis. Success equals consistency in effort, so do your best and keep up with your work and assignments and you will do very well in my class.
Class attendance is crucial to academic success. Students who are repeatedly tardy to class (seated in their desk when the bell rings) will face disciplinary action. If the student is tardy to class 4 times, then they will receive detention during their P.E. time. After the 5th tardy, the student will receive an office referral.
Be Respectful: Respect others, their property, and classroom property.
Be Responsible: Be on time and prepared, always follow directions.
Be Resourceful: Always look for the best way to solve the problem. Give 100% effort, never say “I can’t” Failure is not an option!
